Now in a foster home with the Breezes, Rafael's elevated medical needs are being met while his large family is eagerly taking all the necessary trainings for him to come back home. Committed to help them complete this task, the Breezes have been creative problem-solvers.

Placed in foster care herself as a teen, Bridget was unable to connect with her foster mother. That's when she decided she wanted to become a foster parent - so she could make sure the youth in her care never felt that way. Bridget has been a foster parent for 22 years now, connecting with youth and even adopting. She says it's in her blood.

Graduating high school at 16, she enrolled in college and our Youth Education Success program to achieve her dreams of a higher education. This spring she will graduate with her undergrad degree and hopes to enroll in law school.
